The REVEL Motorsports / Ring Racing Toyota Supra GT4 we at Mod in Japan proudly support, was shipped from its home of at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany and is currently in Japan for some critical off season testing in preparation for a full season of endurance races at the Nürburgring in the VLN Series as well as the 24-hour race that should hopefully happen this year.

What is incredible is that this team is a private team that is operated by real enthusiast I want to promote Toyota and Lexus the arena that is global motorsports.   It is not uncommon for GT level cars to be shipped all over the world for development but it's during these times that make the biggest difference in the season for these teams.   Every driver that runs at the Nürburgring has so much experience that they could run the course with their eyes closed with the only real variable of weather conditions messing them up.   They have such high degrees of experience that you could save that they run the

If you didn't know, this weekend is the 24 Hour Nurburgring Race and our friends and partners at Ring Racing Germany @ringracing / NOVEL Racing Japan @novel_japan / REVEL Motorsports Japan @revel.motorsports are campaigning our Toyota Supra GT4 in SP10 Class and a Lexus RC F Cup car in SP8 class for the race. To introduce the team to you guys as well as get you up to speed on whats happened during practice and qualifying earlier this week I made this quick video with a unique behind the scene look inside the pits. I am getting live information, photos and videos from the race going on in Germany right now and will be continually sharing it. Normally we are Mod in Japan are there on the ground, but thanks to COVID we aren't allowed into Germany at this time so this is the next best thing.

There are few wheel designs in the world that have the legendary history and pedigree as the BBS LM that also crosses respectfully across all the different vehicle cultures (JDM, Euro, Domestic, Exotic).  Although BBS as a brand is German and origin, the BBS LM is manufactured in Japan so there is actually a very strong case for BBS being a great fit for the JDM market.  In fact of Lexus community most of the wheels for the F models are OEM and manufactured by BBS for Lexus.

The Mod in Japan titanium intake is intricately pie cut so that the diameter of the piping is never compromised.  To get the proper angle for the intake piping there are 3 choices, pinch bending,  mandrel bending and pie cutting.  Utilizing pinch Bending or Mandrel Bending there will always be a compromise in the diameter of the piping whether that is 1% or 15% that is a compromise.  Pie cutting and welding is extremely labor intensive as each individual angled piece must be cut and hand welded.  But in the pursuit of performance we decided this was the best method.  We combine the best material, titanium, and the most extreme method to create what we believed to be the finest intake on the market.  The OEM Air box is already efficient and prevents heat soak when the car is not in motion so utilizing it is ideal for daily driving situations which means the only other compromise is the bends.  So utilizing the Mod in Japan titanium intake will increase the airflow which yields

The MFR Engineering Aluminum Aero Kit for the 2020 Toyota Supra was made to be functional first with its solid aluminum construction mounted while being mounted directly to the chassis.    Early on in the process of our Supra build the #MIJA90, our Toyota Supra was a bone stock car and with a short window of time to make it to SEMA, we contacted our friends Mike and Richard at MFR Engineering in Montclair, California.  This kit is made 100% in the USA actually about 15 minutes from the Mod in Japan office, and we've even had the chance to watch them go through the process.
