This Stage 2 Sealed Intake produces 12hp and 16lbs. x ft. torque and outflows the factory intake by 56%. Fully enclosed in a heat-shielding molded plastic housing this air intake system features a washable/reusable conical air filter that improves airflow for increased horsepower and torque. The housing features auxiliary inlet duct for better airflow as well as an attractive black vacuum formed plastic cover that provides ready access to the filter for servicing. This intake system also features a heat-insulating molded plastic tube that replaces the stock intake tract and directs increased air flow with improved volumetric efficiency for maximum performance. The filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. This intake is topped with a vacuum formed ABS black cover that seals out hot intake air and provides an aggressive yet elegant look to your Bmw. aFe engineers have added two auxiliary air inlets to provide additional air volume. These two ducts are styled in the "Kidney Bean" Style that has made BMW famous. This intake utilizes a huge, 6" conical Pro 5R performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. This 5-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze air filter provides maximum flow for increased horsepower and torque. aFe engineers have designed a sophisticated 2-piece sealed intake that keeps out warm underhood air and brings in cooler, outside air for a denser air intake charge. aFe's developed this intake to provide a hassle-free installation that utilizes all factory mounting locations.
